My two amazing angels!

Around 6:30 p.m. Sunday night I received a phone call that nobody wants to receive. It was my dad who called & he said " Honey, Grandpa passed away in a horrible car accident. Grandma, Kass (my cousin), & Aunt Jeannie were life flighted to the hospital." I went numb.. So many thoughts went through my head. Where were they? How are the other three? How did this happen? I found out that they were on their way home from Albuquerque New Mexico, my Cousin Kass was going to be moving there because that's where her husband (who is in the air force) was going to be stationed so they were looking for a place to live. I made many phone calls that night to my family. Everyone was in shock. Here is the article from New Mexico news:

A three-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a Utah man.
New Mexico State Police identified the victim as Roscoe W. Godfrey, 79, from Hurricane, Utah.
Three passengers in the 2005 Lincoln that Godfrey was driving were also injured. Maxine Godfrey, 77, Jeanenne Rosenvall, 77, and Cassie Night, 27, all from Hurricane, were transported to hospitals.
According to an accident report, Godfrey was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 54, about three miles north of the Lincoln/Otero counties line. The vehicle swerved into the oncoming lane, which prompted a southbound semi-truck driver to take an evasive move to the shoulder.
Godfrey's car sideswiped the 1998 Freightliner and then collided head-on with a 2006 Ford utility vehicle driven by Zachariah Diaz, 37. Diaz, who is a lieutenant on the Bureau of Indian Affairs police agency in Mescalero, suffered a severe leg injury in the crash. Diaz and a passenger in the vehicle, Bridgett Herrera, 38, of Alto, were transported to a hospital.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the incident.
The accident, reported at 3:20 p.m., closed U.S. Highway 54 for several hours.

I was so concerned about my Grandma. My Grandparents have been inseparable. They were each others back bone. They were such an amazing couple & I didn't know how she was going to do with out him. That night we had a lot of unanswered questions because they were so far away. All I knew was that my Grandma was stable but in shock & I didn't really know what was going on with my cousin & aunt. The next morning I was in the phone immediately trying to find answers. Well I received another call from my dad " Honey, grandmas gone" Oh my hell!! Is this really happening?? My grandma died from a heart attack. She couldn't live with out him. She died of a broken heart! We knew thats what they both would have wanted, but for us we are devastated! I could not beleive what was happening. I still really dont. It doesnt feel real yet.
I have cried & cried until my eyes couldnt handle it anymore.
I have received another phone call to update me on the other two. Now this info is passed down but I know my Aunt is in a back brace but she got up and walked today. she is having a very difficult time about the whole thing but is doing ok health wise! Now my cousin Kass had internal bleeding, they removed her splean & she broke her neck. She has to be in a halo for quite some time BUT I am so greatful that they are going to be ok!

You never know what could happen to loved ones. Never pass up the chance to hug & kiss them before they go. I thankfully visited with my grandparents while they were in town last sunday. I had a great visit & they were able to meet Rhett for the first time. Before they left I told them how much I loved them & kissed them both. I will cherish that memory & many other ones forever. I love them with all my heart & for me, I am heart broken but for them, I am so happy they are with each other. I love you grandma & grandpa. You will be missed so so much. I am so grateful to have two more amazing guardian angels.

I love you both with all my heart!! xoxo

Lately!

I have been a slacker... well I guess I have been pretty occupied with 2 little kiddos!! Wow how time flies. I cant believe it! Here are a couple updates.

Rhett: He is growing like a weed, he is already 2 and a half months old!! 2 & 1/2 MONTHS!! The little dude is cooing like crazy & smiling all the time, he is getting strong & wants to stand (with my help of coarse). He is sleeping so well in the night most of the time :) Rhett loves to eat and is getting so chunky. He is such a sweet little boy & such a joy to have, I just love my little guy.

Ally: She is getting so big! We have been watching home videos of her when she was little & I can not believe how big she has gotten! Ally loves to play outside & is now riding a big girl bike with training wheels, she is super speedy on that thing! She is such an independent little thing, she wants to dress herself & she will come into my room dressed in a short sleeve shirt, skirt, a hat backwards (like dad) and Patten leather shoes with no socks!! ha ha (I need to get a picture of that!) Ally definitely likes to push my buttons sometimes, but she is my ray of sunshine & I just love her so so much!

MOTHERS DAY

(I DIDN'T GET ANY PICTURES... I KNOW I AM A SLACKER) :(

I had such a great mothers day. I woke up to a clean house (thanks to my incredible husband) flowers, recess peanut butter cups (my fav) & a heart shape note from my sweet little princess. I am so grateful for my two beautiful kids. I don't know what I would do with out them! I love them with all of my heart & am so grateful I get to raise them & see them grow up & accomplish so many great things along side my wonderful hubby! I cant believe I get to see these two beautiful angels every day....
